Monday - Sept 25th

Catcher in the Rye…Handmaid’s Tale…Harry Potter…What’s your favorite book? Chances are good that someone has tried to ban it. Celebrate YOUR freedom to read during Banned Books Week this week. Stop in the library to see the display of other books that have been banned and to take one home with you.  WORDS HAVE POWER!!!

The Bonny Eagle Code Club is looking for new members to start the 2017-18 school year. If interested, come to room 107 on Wednesday, September 27th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm


Fill the Bus is underway.  Mr. Penna loads the bus as students Madison, Olivia, Hannah and Anthony bring the donated supplies out of the school.  Classes are competing to see who can bring in the most NEW school supplies... as of last Friday the Sophomores were leading with 52 items, followed by Staff 41 items, Juniors 29 items, Seniors 21 items and in last place the Freshmen 5 items.

The Bonny Eagle Code Club is looking for new members to start the 2017-18 school year. If interested, come to room 107 on Wednesday, September 27th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm


Senior pictures and quotes are due no later than October 27th. If you need someone to take your senior picture, check in with Mrs. Templeton Bush in Room ½. For more information grab a flyer from the senior board across from the MPR. Yearbooks are on early bird special through the rest of the month for only $45.00! Bring cash or check to the front office to secure your copy of the 2017/18 yearbook.


If you have a block 5 study hall or early dismissal, please consider volunteering with the Teen Trendsetters. This is a mentoring program where High School students read and do fun activities with elementary students at Buxton Center during block 5 once a week. Plus it’s a fun way to get community service hours! See Ms. Wade in Student Services for more information or an application.


Juniors and Seniors, there is a calendar on the Student Services website for college representative visits. Please check it out and if interested in meeting with any of the colleges listed please contact student services to sign up. You can either stop by or email the student services staff to sign up.

HOMECOMING DANCE IS OCT 7th! Tickets will be sold during lunch, starting the 28th. They will be ten dollars, and will increase to $12 staring Monday the second. The last day to purchase a ticket (Thursday the 5th) the price will be $15 per ticket! There will be snacks and beverages provided, and there will be a dj. Any questions can be messaged or emailed to me, Lindsey BaldwinEmma Curtis or Kylea Ryerson

The MSAD 6 District Curriculum Committee is looking for two student representatives. The committee provides input to the school administration on changes in courses, programs, and instructional practices for all of the schools in our district. The committee meets 4-6 times per year in the afternoons.   Student voices are important to have at the table when we make decisions about the direction of our schools. Please contact Mrs. Napolitano if you would like more information


For anyone interested Math Team meets this Wednesday, 9/20/17. Please pick up and return permission slips to Mrs. Hayden, Room 314 or Mrs. Prescott, Room 310. First meet is Oct. 4th.


Freshmen Class Officer Elections will be held next Thursday, the 21st. Please pick up nomination papers in the front office or room #306 if you are interested in running for an office.


Attention anyone who is interested in Academic Decathlon, there will be a mandatory meeting after school on Thursday, September 21st in Mrs. Droggitis’s room at 2:10. If you attended the meeting at the end of last school year we would like you to come to this meeting too, as important information regarding the fast approaching season will be goin out. National Constitution Week:
The 1st Amendment to the Constitution is as follows. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”

There are 5 freedoms in the 1st Amendment. The first is religion. The 1st Amendment guarantees thatAmericans can practice any religion they choose or non at all. It also prevents the government from establishing an official religion.

At this time we will have a moment of silence in remembrance of those who lost loved ones in the attacks on September 11, 2001.

Today is picture day! All students need to come down and get their pictures taken even if you don’t plan to purchase them. This includes seniors. We use the photos for student ID’s and they will be loaded into synergy. Monday is also Freshmen vision screening day. Swim Boosters meeting Tuesday ,September 12th at 6:30 PM in room 207. All new and old swimmers parents are encourage to attend. We meet the second Tuesday of every month.
