The Student Council is hosting its annual fall American Red Cross Blood Drive on November 1st. If you are 16 years of age or older and meet the height and weight requirements, please consider giving blood. You can sign up to donate with Ms. Cyr in room 306. To get the proper staffing for the day, Ms. Cyr is asking that everyone sign up to donate as soon as possible. Thank you for helping to save lives by giving blood.

The BEHS Graduation Committee met on Tuesday, October 24th to review senior survey information and reconsider the decision on gown color for graduation.
The Committee decided to let everyone choose either green or white for his/her own cap and gown color. More information will be posted on the senior website later today.

Bonny Eagle’s Gay Straight Transgender Alliance, GSTA, will b e starting up on November 1st. Please contact Ms. Thomas in room 213 if you are interested.

Week! Great student participation. Thank you to Ms. Bjordahl’s Advance Health Class for their Wellness Fair. We will end the week on Friday with the Civil Rights Team….display and activity….in front of the cafĂ© during Block 4.

Anyone interested in participating in our Ski Club, the packets are available in the Athletic Office, and the deadline to turn in completed packets is no later than November 28th. The Ski Club takes four bus trips to Shawnee Peak in Bridgton for skiing, two Fridays and two Saturdays in the winter season with our talented advisor, Mrs. Getchell.  Pick up the packet today and don’t miss the deadline of November 28th.

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENTS

-The Bonny Eagle Scots Girls Soccer would like to fill the stands with a Sea of Green TODAY!
Any Bonny Eagle student wearing green or BE or Scots apparel will have free admission at the Preliminary Play off game, our #6 Scots vs. #11 Thornton Trojans TODAY at 3:00 pm! Let's give them our support, show our school pride and show them how it's done!   Admission is $4 adults and $2 students otherwise.

-Volleyball played the Preliminary game at Brunswick/Mt. Ararat yesterday at 6:00...w/ a win over the Dragons and will now play the Quarter Final game at Deering tomorrow at

-Boys Soccer will play the Preliminary Play off game tomorrow at Cheverus at 1:00

-Boys and Girls Cross Country will run at the Regional Championships at the Twin Brook Recreation Area in Cumberland tomorrow with the girls race at 12:10 and boys race at 12:45

-And the final regular season football game today - our #1 Scots vs. the #3 Scarborough Red Storm with a kick off of 7 pm

All sophomores and juniors please return any calculators borrowed for PSATS, your math teachers need them.

Attention Seniors, Graduation orders will be collected by Jostens on Tuesday, October 17th during all lunches outside the cafeteria. Extra order packets are available in the Main Office

Come meet the new swim coaches. The BEHS swim team will be having team registration night on October 26th begins at 6:30pm to 8:00pm in the Multi Purpose Room. All new and previous swimmers and parents must attend this meeting starting at 6:30pm. Swim suits sizing and team information will be provided during the meeting. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Branch in room 220 B.
        
The first Outing Club Trip will be a hike in the White Mountains on November 4th. Fin permission slips attached to notices around school, or with Ms. Johnson (Room 301) or Mrs. Deans (Room 223). This trip is open to any Bonny Eagle student, you do not have to be a member of the Outing Club.

Kudos go to Mrs. Deptula’s advisory students, Sam Averill, Kaylee Hinckley, Sam Michelson, Katie Napolitano, Zach Ross, RJ Sheldon, Spencer Westcott, Griffin Madore, and Will Hendrix. Yesterday they donated their time to volunteering at the MSSPA in Windham, the only horse rescue sanctuary in New England. Staff at the facility said the students were superb in their effort and demeanor and were a really fantastic representation of Bonny Eagle High School !!

Wednesday - 10/4/17

There will be a brief informational meeting for NEW members considering joining Model UN on Wednesday Oct. 11th after school in room 222, no commitment is necessary. There will also be a brief meeting for returning members on Thursday Oct. 12th after school in room 222. Please contact Ms. Dolan or Mr. Mathieu if you can’t attend the meeting, but would like more information.


Congratulations to the girls cross country team. They placed 8th out of 62 teams on Saturday.  Ami Beaumier came in 6th, Kayla Raymond 16th, and Christine Toy 24th out of 749 runners.

The Pep Rally and Food Drive to benefit the Good Shepard Food Bank is tomorrow (Thursday).  Students may arrive at the HS at 5:30 and the Rally will begin at 6 am.  Dave Evs from Channel 13 will be running the rally live!  Bring in your non perishable food items to be counted for our chance to be the winning school.  Wear your green and white... it's a great way to show our school spirit towards this worthy cause.  An activities day schedule will run.  Check our your student's Facebook Class page for the schedule.
