Announcements 12/17/19







Math team meetings  are Wednesday’s at 2:15pm in Room #310. All are welcome!




Unified basketball season begins January 2nd. Unified basketball sign ups are now open. Interested players should sign up in the athletic office by Wednesday, December 18th.




2019 Holiday Spirit Week, December 16th thru 20th.
Wednesday-Holiday hat and socks day (wear santa or other holiday themed hats and holiday socks)
Thursday-Ugly sweater day
Friday-Green and red day
There will be shortened classes on Friday followed by the Holiday Assembly in the Gym.

2019 Holiday Assembly, December 20th. Do you have talent? Can you sing? Can you dance? Do you play an instrument? If yes, the student council wants you to audition for the Holiday Assembly. Audition applications are in the main office and in Ms. Cyr’s room, #205.

Early Release Due to Inclement Weather


Due to the early dismissal we will run the following schedule:

Block 2 will end at 9:25
Block 3 will go from 9:30 - 10:15
Block 4 will go from 10:20 - 11:00
Lunch will be from 11:05 - 11:30 - All staff please assist in student supervision in Hall, Cafeteria and Parking lot. All students will eat at the same time. We will allow students who drive to leave at 11:05. There will be no Block 5. 

Bus dismissal will begin at 11:30.

Announcement - 12/11/19





PSAT scores are available on the College Board website. Please contact College Board directly if you don’t know your username and/or password. Student Services won’t have access to scores for a few weeks.

There will be an outing club meeting this Thursday, December 12th to discuss our plans for December to organize our cookie decorating and gift giving to the children at Springbrook for the holiday. We will also be planning a snowshoeing expedition at the Maine Audubon in Falmouth. Snowshoes will be provided so join us for a weekend adventure along the coast.  See you there in Room 128 at 2:00pm.

Spirit points will not be counted for these days.  They are just for fun.

Door Decorating - This year's theme is Festival of Trees.  Please decorate your door with a scene that has a tree.  The decorations on the tree should have a theme.  Some examples include snowmen, santas, elves, animals, balls, and stars.  Doors will be judged late Thursday and winning door decorations will be moved to the gym and  used to decorate for the assembly.  Winners will receive Dunkin' gift certificates to be used for treats in Advisory.

Announcements 11/19/19





T2 schedule changes will be made:

THIS Wed & Thurs- Nov 20 and 21 outside the cafeteria during lunches
Tues & Wed- Dec 3 and 4 in the front lobby from 7:00a - 2:00p

On December 2nd students will follow their schedule as listed in their StudentVue.

Schedule changes are made for the following reasons:
1.    To replace an empty block or study hall with a class.
2.    The prerequisite for a class has not been met.
3.    To repeat a class or take credit recovery.
4.    To replace an elective with a core class.

Juniors or Seniors who want late arrival or early dismissal should go to the Student Services website to download a form to complete and turn in to their counselor.

All other changes (including double late arrival or double early dismissal) will require Administrator approval.

Beginning Thursday, December 5th students must complete a blue Drop/Add
form to change Trimester 2 schedules.  Schedule changes made during this time may will result in a “W” grade on the student’s transcript.

THURSDAY is Picture Re-Take Day!
Photos sessions will start at The Learning Center at 7:30 and then continue at the high school starting around 9:30.  Any student that has NOT yet had their photo taken for this school year needs to have one taken for their school and student ID.  
Students that want to have their photo re-taken need to bring their original photo package with them to return it to Lifetouch.

Announcements - 10/22/19


LATE ARRIVAL DAY TOMORROW!!!  (Wed- 10/23/19)


Reminder to all students who have signed up for the ASVAB testing on Thursday.  Students must be sure their 1st - 2nd - 3rd block teachers know they will be in the cafeteria in the morning.  Students must report to the cafe as testing starts promptly at 7:30.  Attendance will be taking during testing.  Any questions check in with Mrs. Knight in student services




BEHS Winter Sports begin November 18.
  Girls Ice Hockey begin November 5.  The online Family ID registration is open for registering.  Check it out on the athletics website.  Have your health insurance information handy when registering. You also have the ability to upload a physical exam if needed.  Remember to save your login and password for future updates.

BASKETBALL, WINTER CHEERLEADING, SWIM, WRESTLING, ICE HOCKEY, INDOOR TRACK, ALPINE SKI (individually), and UNIFIED BASKETBALL (begins in January).

Student athletes will sign up with the athletic department on Tuesday, October 29 during all three lunches in the cafeteria to confirm their physical exam on file is current.  Winter student athletes must have passed 4 classes in trimester 1 and be enrolled in at least 4 classes in trimester 2.

The Student Council will be holding their annual fall American Red Cross blood drive on October 23rd. Because this is a late arrival day, the drive will be from 9:00am to 3:00pm. You must be 17 years old or 16 years old with parental permission to donate blood. 16 year old permission forms are in the office and there are some height and weight requirements. Please see Ms. Cyr in room 205 to schedule an appointment to donate. There is an urgent need for blood right now and every pint donated can help up to 3 people. Please consider donating at our drive.



Attention all Model UN members and students interested in joining Model UN. There will be a brief informational meeting for returning members on Wednesday October 23rd at 2:15 in room 222. There will also be an informational meeting for students interested in participating for the first time on Thursday October 24th at 2:15 in room 222. Homecoming Week- Get in the BE Spirit!


Homecoming Spirit Week – October 14th – 18th

Spirit Days – Everyone is encouraged to participate!
Monday-           NO SCHOOL
Tuesday-          15th – Blackout Day (wear all black)  REGULAR SCHEDULE DAY
*Wednesday -   16th – Tie-Dye and Sweatpants Day (wear a tie-dye shirt and sweatpants)
Thursday-         17th – Pink Day (wear as much pink as you can in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness                                         month)
Friday-             18th – Green and White Day, Spirit Assembly

Hall Decorating – NO CHALK on the walls
Seniors            – Main Lobby and Bus Hallway
Juniors             – The T and hallway to the new wing
Sophomores    – The Student Services hallway and 1st floor old wing
Freshmen         – Outside the auditorium and 1st floor new wing

Each section will be judged for creativity and school spirit on Friday.  Classes will receive spirit points

*On Wednesday, we will be asking seniors to wear their senior t-shirts because the Yearbook will be taking the class photo that day.

Spirit Assembly – Friday at 1:00 – 2:00pm 
Students and faculty/staff will compete in games for spirit points. Teams and clubs will be recognized.

Come ready to make noise and show your school spirit!
Sports teams will be called down to get seated between 12:40-12:45.
Students will be called down at the end of block 4 and seated in the sections with their class year.

The Homecoming Dance is Saturday night from 7:00pm to 10:30pm in the gym.  Students must purchase their tickets in advance, as no tickets will be sold at the door.  Students are expected to dress up for the dance.

There is NO AM Voc on Wednesday, October 16th. 


Juniors should all report to the high school for PSAT testing and all Seniors should report at 7:30 for the Class Meeting and Breakfast

There is NO PM Voc for Juniors.  Juniors will be dismissed after testing* is complete. 

There IS PM Voc for Seniors.

*PSATs are statewide and both WRVC and PATHs are aware that this is a mandatory excused absence. You may not skip testing and drive yourself to voc.
