Welcome Back: We Missed You
Twas the day after vacation, at Bonny Eagle High School
All the students were back, all trying to look cool.
They mingled in the lobby, the cafe and the hallway,
All wondering how the heck they would deal with this all day.
With their friends they all chatter, talk and catch up,
A new member joins them and they all say, “What’s up?”
Some wear new clothes and some maybe not
But there’s one thing I hope they have never forgot.
In this place you’re special, you mean a great deal,
Your teachers all love you and care how you feel.
They’re all here to teach you and know in their heart
If only you’d let them, they could make you real smart.
The great things that go on here can boggle one’s mind,
Championships, performances, community service of all kinds.
For certain, our school could always improve
Which is why the Scots are always on the move.
So onward to all who wear the white and the green
Only those who have worn them know what they mean.
Be as good as you want at whatever you choose
And help those who need you, there is nothing to lose.
So, put your phone in the snowbank, and get straight to work.
When your teacher asks a question, raise your hand with a jerk.
The world is one year older I’m sure that you see
And in one years time, how much smarter will you be.
