NEW -Extended Learning Opportunities - Fall 2021

Attention Sophomores & Juniors:

We are very excited to launch our Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO) Internships and Extended Study programs for the fall of 2021. There will be opportunities available for juniors and seniors who are in good academic standing, referred to the program, with approval by Mr. Burleson, our ELO Teacher.

These opportunities will be structured around each students’ interests, personalized learning goals and experiences to move into some authentic, real-world exploration and career insight with our community business partners.

We are partnering with local employers and businesses who can offer students real world hands on exposure and experiences for possible career and employment options after high school.

How can extended learning opportunities be beneficial to high school students?

  • Career Exploration shadows, internships, apprenticeships

  • Community Connections and networking resources

  • Improve your resume and career research portfolio

  • Learn a variety of pre employment soft and hard skills

  • Apply what you have learned in the classroom to real world experiences

  • Explore next steps you need to take beyond high school

Scheduling sites takes time so please reach out to Mr. Burleson during trimester 3 if you are interested in a Fall opportunity.

Want to find out more about ELO opportunities?  Contact our Extended Learning Teacher Mr.Burleson @ mburleson@bonnyeagle.org or speak to your school counselor for more details.
