Come to the 3^rd Annual Holiday Movie Night, put on by the class of 2020. This year we will be showing the Polar Express in the auditorium, Thursday, December 13^th, 4-6pm.  Free admission and refreshments will be sold at the door.

 

Travel to Montreal!  BE’s Foreign Language Honor Society is planning a trip to multicultural Montreal April 16-18, 2019.  All are welcome.  See Madame Thomas or Senora Mazzarese for more information.

The Chinese Club will have its first get together at Bonny Eagle Middle School this Thursday at 2:15pm in Room 5. We are going to have fun in playing traditional Chinese games and sports. Come and join us.

Did you want to join the Ski Club? This is the week to do it!! All Ski and Snowboard Club permission slips and paperwork are due by November 30^th. Please make sure the packet is complete and turned in to Mrs. Barrows by Friday.

Senior pictures are due by November 30^th because we want to be able to get their pictures taken before all the fall colors leave. We will make every effort to get the pictures in, but we need every picture in by the deadline.

A reminder to all students that it is very important for you to check your school gmail for information from Student Services.  Student Services connects with students through gmail on a regular basis.

The Spring ECAP/Early College Aspirations Program schedule is listed on the Student Services website. Check it out and contact your counselor if you are interested in taking a class.

We begin Winter Sports Pre-Season  on Monday, November 19.

Meningitis Vaccine  

ALL Seniors need to have received an vaccination after the age of 16 and bring in proof OR a written exemption note from their parent/guardian to the school nurse by December 1st.  Students that are out of compliance can be excluded from                                                                                              school.  This is a state law.  Pick up a                                                                                        exemption form in the Main Office

Attention Winter Sports Athletes:

If you have not signed up for your winter sport, please do so immediately. Here at Bonny Eagle for winter sports we offer basketball, cheerleading, wrestling, swimming, indoor track and field, and ice hockey. We have online registrations now available. Every winter athlete must register online with their parent or guardian. Please go online and register if you have not done so already. We will host player information meetings in the next few weeks. Find those posted in the athletic office soon. First day for winter sports is Monday, November 19^th. Online registrations need to be done by November 15^th or the student athlete will not participate until it is complete.

Open Gym begins this week after school., All students are invited to participate in open gym. It is also a chance for all students to get some conditioning to be ready for your season. We will have open gym after school Monday thru Thursday next week, and Thursday the following week.  Come join the fun.

Participants will sign up in groups of 5, and will then compete in a bracket-fashioned competition. The first team to completely eliminate the other, or the team with the most participants remaining after 10 minutes will win, and move on. The cost of participating is $10.- per team. Each member of the winning team will receive a gift card. Snacks and drinks will also be available at the tournament, and all are welcome. Please see Mr. Cobleigh or any of the sophomore class officers if you have any questions.

The Veteran's Day Ceremony is Friday AM.  All welcome to attend.  It starts at 9:30.

Resilience the Movie TONIGHT

Reminder:  Tonight there will be a free public showing of the movie "Resilience" at BEHS starting at 7:00pm.  This one-hour documentary is timely and is relevant to many students in our school community.  An optional discussion will follow and refreshments will be provided. To all interested Swimmers and Parents registration and meet the coaches night will be on November 8^th from 6:00 to 7:30 in room 121. All parents and swimmers should attend this meeting. Swimmers will be fitted for team suits after the meeting. The cost for swimming is $350 for the 2018-2019 season. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Branch in room 121 or Lori Spencer across from Student Services.

Poinsettia orders must be turned in by Friday, November 2^nd to Lori Spencer.

Dinner, Friday and Saturday here at the High School at 5:00pm before the show, “The Tempest”. Dinner is $7.-  The menu is Pot Roast with mashed potatoes, carrots and dessert. Dinner land show: Adults $11.-, Seniors $9.-, Students $7.-

Today GSTA’s meeting will feature a cart full of LGBT-themed books provided by Ms. Preble. Come browse with us at 2:00 in Room 213.

On FRIDAY, November 2^nd, the middle school is hosting a Naturalization Ceremony. You may not park in the middle school lot for that day. Thank you.

TOMORROW is Late Arrival Day!

There will be an outing club meeting this Wednesday October 24^th after school in room 128. We will be designing t-shirts and making nature journals for our outings….please be there and join us for a fun time planning our excursions….one if Peaks Island hiking in the Spring.  See Ms. Maxwell or Mrs. Deans with questions.

Gay Straight Transgender Alliance, GSTA, meets after school on Wednesdays from 2:05-3:15 in room 213. See Ms. Thomas in room 213 if you are interested, or just show up.

Attention all members of the Language Honor Society. There will be a very important meeting of the whole club tomorrow October 24^th at 2:10 in room 209. Please make every effort to attend. If you are unable to attend, please contact Ms.Mazzarese, Ms. Thomas, or a member of the leadership team to arrange to make up what you will miss.

Reminder for 11^th and 12^th grade students. Thursday, October 25^th we will host ASVAB’s in the Café starting promptly at 7:30. You may sign up in the student services office. We will note be calling students down. You may need to make up any class work you miss that day.

Attention students interested in participating in Model UN this year, there will be an informational meeting on Wednesday 10/17 after school at 2:15pm in room 222 for returning and new members.  Please email Ms. Dolan if you are interested, but cannot attend.

Seniors: Anyone who picked up a green card to register to vote needs to return it to Ms. Cyr in Room 205 by Friday. Otherwise they will have to take them to their respective town offices. Anyone who is 17 or older and wants to register to vote can see Ms. Cyr for more information. 

American Red Cross Blood Drive will be October 23^rd in the gym from 7:30am to 1:30pm. If you are 16 or older and meet the height and weight requirements, you can donate blood. Please see Ms. Cyr in Room 205 to schedule an appointment. Give the gift of life.

Congratulations to sophomore Zach Brislin who placed 1st in his section at the National Chess Day tournament in Cape Elizabeth this past Saturday. Chess season starts soon. We will host the Chess Team tryouts this Thursday, after school in room 207.  All interested Chess players are invited to tryout.
