BE Chess Club is hosting the Claude Webber Memorial Cup at BEMS on Saturday. We have Middle School and High School Championship teams, but would love to see our district's schools represented in all sections if possible, since we are expecting close to 100 players, including Maine State Champions to be competing. It's also a fundraiser for our club, so your support would be greatly appreciated.
It would be great to get the word out among students that they are all welcome to play - this tournament is not reserved for competition teams! We have two sections specifically for non-competition players (K-8 and HS) as well as our other two USCF rated sections.

8th Grade Transition Night

Students and families are welcome to come and walk thru the high school, meet the teachers and browse the activities fair. A fun night as we prepare the students for High School.
Dine & Discuss
Our final Dine & Discuss will be on Wednesday, April 3rd at 6 pm. "What's New in 2019-2020?" Parents of all grade levels are welcome to come learn about our current work in a proficincy-based system and what changes might be on the horizon for hte next school year.
